Against THOSE OCs stamp

Just because I support OCs and DxOC doesn't mean I like every single one of them. And when I mean "THOSE OCs" I mean the generic:
(Sometimes) Long lost halfa twin of Danny's.
The girl who has ghost hunting parents AND a portal too.
The general "snow white hair, glowing green eyes, black and white jumpsuit" look.
They fall in love with Danny/Danny falls in love with them at first sight.
They either have Danny's exact powers, or they have unheard of extremely powerful powers.
They have an annoying, made up name. OR their name is a variation of "Daniel" or "Danielle".
The girls that look exactly like Danny, and their creator has her and Danny fall in love. Fall in love with a mirror image?
When they totally replace Sam, acting as if she doesn't exist.
When they have no personality, no decent backstory, or even a backstory at all. She appears out of nowhere.
They seem to have no flaws.

Of course I had to avoid all of these when revamping Misty and Michelle. Especially Misty, because the first version of her fit all of that criteria. I was 11 at the time. Shoot me.

I do get sick of seeing OCs like this all the time. Deviantart isn't so bad, but fanfiction.net is still plagued with fanfics with horrible characters, either paired with Danny or not. .3.

However, there is another point behind this as well. There are the rare gems of OCs out there whom their creators pour their heart and soul into the characters, like I have done with Misty and Michelle. I guarantee that my OCs have about 10 times more detail about them than other OC creators. That's one reason why they're good characters. I treat them as if they're real people, not just pixels, pencil lines and text.

<rant>And I'm pretty much sick of people saying "Oh, she's a halfa and paired up with Danny! She's a Mary-Sue!" well, be it may for the majority of OCs, but do they ever stop and read/view all the work I pour into my own? No they do not.</rant>

Wrapping up. Yeah. I hate them generic DP OCs. I'm very pick about which DxOC couples I like, and I can help people in characterization, if they ask. Just ask *Chrissykouhai. I did help her make some major and minor changes to Carrie.
